Meet Dr. Scott Ohmart

When I was a kid, I don’t remember braces being this much fun. In all three of our locations in Littleton, Centennial and Aurora, it is all about having a good time while creating smiles for our patients. This is how my staff and I have built such a great reputation with so many wonderful patients… with a little something called customer service. Find an orthodontist closest to you!

  • I was born and raised right here in Littleton Colorado, attending Littleton High School, followed by Colorado State University.
  • After graduating, I attended the University of Colorado Dental School.
  • I trained at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, receiving advanced training in surgical based dentistry and finally moving on to UCLA in 1992 to get my degree in orthodontics.
  • Orthodontics is an ever-changing field due to advances in technology. As a result, you will find me out of the office on occasion so that I can stay up-to-date. I receive continuing education every year in Invisalign®, LVI occlusion, and from The Gorman Institute as well as the American Association of Orthodontists.

I have been practicing orthodontics in my hometown of Littleton since I graduated with my specialty degree in orthodontics, where I live with my wife and four beautiful children. Colorado has to be one of the best places to live if you love outdoor activities like my family and I do.

I feel so lucky to practice what I love, therefore it is important to me to give back to those in need. I am currently on one of only three cleft lip and palate teams in the Rocky Mountain region where I treat a lot of kids who really have a need.

I have also traveled to third world countries to perform surgically based dentistry on kids who have nothing. I have been to most parts of the world, including Asia, South, and Central America and just recently Africa.

Meet Dr. Karen Franz!

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Karen Franz to the Ohmart Orthodontics Team!

Dr. Franz is a Colorado native, originally from Fort Collins. She graduated with honors from Colorado State University with a degree in Biochemistry. She went to Dental School at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she stayed to earn a Masters Degree in Oral Biology and a three-year-long residency in Orthodontics.

We are looking forward to her help in creating smiles that last a lifetime!
